March 12th, 2017
- Church!
- Morning service was in Spanish, evening service was in Creole
- Both services were three hours each
- A lot of time for singing, worship, prayer
- Antonio preached at the first service, Luan preached at the second service
- We led a few worship songs (two in Spanish, one in Creole)
- Drove to the city of San Pedro (afternoon)
- used to be a port city
- walked along the beach
March 13th, 2017
- Work
- starting to build up walls: mixing concrete, moving cinder blocks
- interacting with the kids in the village and the workers
- I liked mixing concrete
- “mescla, mescla, mescla”
- After work
- watched some guys from the work site play basketball
- practicing my Spanish, talking with the guys
- got some ice cream in San Pedro
March 14th, 2017
- Work in the morning
- Still building walls up
- building friendships with the men we work with
- Beach in the afternoon!
- the ocean was soooo blue, looked like something right off a postcard
- very relaxing and good bonding time with the team
March 15th, 2017
- Morning
- shadowed the English teacher at the school
- Last afternoon at the work site
- finishing up with the walls
- took pictures, prayed for the house
- Evening
- met the family who will be living in the house
- hung out with the teens from the youth group and guys from the work site
- knockout, laughing, music, sad goodbyes, so much love
